Butcher Block Kitchen Remodel | Norwalk, CT

Can you tell this kitchen has reused cabinets? That’s one of our favorite parts of this renovation.

For this kitchen remodel, we changed the layout by carefully removing existing cabinets and reinstalling them in a new location. Then, we added new cabinetry to create an island and additional workspace, giving the homeowners a kitchen that works better for everyday life without starting completely from scratch.

But function was only part of the story. The checkerboard tile floor and custom-built butcher block counters are the showstoppers in this space, adding warmth, character, and a little bit of fun to the finished design.

This project is a great reminder that a beautiful kitchen renovation does not always mean replacing everything. Sometimes, the best design comes from knowing what to reuse, what to add, and how to make it all feel intentional.
