Whole-Home Reno, Built with Purpose | Danbury, CT

September 2024

Danbury CT

When we first met our client, this home had suffered significant fire damage and needed to be rebuilt almost entirely on the interior. While most of the exterior—aside from the roof—remained intact, the inside of the home required full interior reframing. Rather than simply restoring what was lost, we used this opportunity to thoughtfully redesign the layout and make the home safer, more functional, and better suited to how our client lives.

In total, we rebuilt approximately 4,000 square feet of living space, including a fully independent in-law apartment on the lower level. This whole-home renovation also included a large open-concept kitchen, a bonus room over the garage, a primary bedroom en-suite, two enlarged bedrooms connected by a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, and a complete reconfiguration of the front entry and stair layout. Most importantly, every decision was made with safety, comfort, and long-term livability in mind—turning a devastating loss into a home that feels whole again.
